Elite Futures Fund (Youth)

Building Futures on the Fairway

Vision: A new generation of golfers is rising in Dallas–Fort Worth, one as diverse and dynamic as the community itself. We envision a future where every child, regardless of zip code or background, has the chance to learn and love the game of golf, developing confidence, discipline, and leadership skills that set them up for success on and off the course.

Mission: To empower underrepresented youth through the game of golf by breaking down barriers to entry and providing ongoing support. Elite Futures Fund introduces kids and teens to golf via free or low-cost programs, matches them with mentors and role models, equips them with necessary gear, and creates pathways for advanced training or educational opportunities. The goal is not only to teach golf skills but also to use golf as a vehicle for personal growth, fostering perseverance, sportsmanship, and opening doors (like school team involvement or college scholarship opportunities) for youth who might otherwise never get to step onto a green.

Key Impact Areas (Youth Program)

  • Free Clinics & Camps: Free or highly subsidized golf clinics, camps, and workshops for youth beginners. These fun, instructional programs introduce kids and teens to golf in an accessible way, teaching fundamentals of the swing, rules, and etiquette in a supportive environment.

  • Youth Play Opportunities: Affordable opportunities for young players to actually play and compete. This can include organizing low-cost junior golf outings, facilitating entry into local youth tournaments, or creating casual league-style play days for kids – ensuring budding golfers can experience on-course play without prohibitive costs.

  • Equipment for Kids: Shared access to junior golf equipment for families who cannot afford clubs or gear. The program collects and provides youth-sized clubs, bags, and other essentials so that lack of equipment doesn’t stop a child from participating (just as the adult program does for grown participants).

  • Scholarships & Advanced Training: Financial assistance and scholarships to help promising young golfers pursue the sport further. For example, the fund can sponsor a child’s enrollment in an elite golf camp, cover travel expenses to a tournament, or even contribute toward college prep and scholarship programs related to golf. We strive to ensure talented or enthusiastic youth have the support to chase their golf dreams – whether that’s making the high school team or aiming for a college golf scholarship.

  • Broadening Diversity Early: Initiatives to introduce more Black and Brown youth to golf, building a pipeline of diverse talent from the junior level upward. We partner with schools and community groups in underrepresented areas to host outreach events – because early exposure is key to showing kids that golf is a game for them. By nurturing diversity in young golfers now, we help the sport’s future look much more like the world around us.

  • Community & School Partnerships: Partnerships with schools, youth organizations, and golf facilities to support all these efforts. Local schools and nonprofits help us identify kids who can benefit, golf courses provide junior tee times or practice space, and donors (individual and corporate) sponsor program costs. This collaborative approach ensures the Elite Futures Fund has the resources and reach to impact as many young lives as possible.
